Contractor Agreement

Shield & Serve 1099 Independent Contractor Agreement

By submitting this application, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Independent Contractor Status. I understand I am applying as a 1099 independent contractor, not an employee of Shield & Serve. I am responsible for my own taxes, insurance, and equipment unless otherwise specified.

2. Platform Fee. Shield & Serve retains a 10% platform fee from all booking payments. I will receive 90% of the client-facing booking amount as my payout.

3. Background Check Consent. I authorize Shield & Serve to conduct a national FBI-level background check, sex offender registry check, and driving record check as part of the onboarding process.

4. Code of Conduct. I agree to maintain professionalism at all times, wear my Shield & Serve mobile camera during all service calls, and uphold the organization's values of integrity, excellence, and accountability.

5. Scheduling Commitment. I agree to honor accepted job assignments. Cancellations within 24 hours may result in account suspension.

6. Confidentiality. I will keep all client information strictly confidential and not contact clients outside of Shield & Serve's platform.

7. At-Will. Either party may terminate this contractor relationship at any time for any reason.
